The Friday Evening Music Club of the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce our annual student recital, will be held this Friday, January 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Campana Chapel and Lecture Hall on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg (UPG). The exciting and diverse recital will feature students of four FEMC members, performing music by composers from the 17th through 21st centuries, hailing from Austria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Russia, and the USA!
Pianists for the evening include Nicholas Maynard (Kabalevsky), student of Jacqueline Herbein; Barani Oo (Hildy/Rameau), Johan Paul (JS Bach/Beethoven), Bilgehan Akdeniz (JS Bach/Gillock), Levi Pecorari (Satie/Kuhlau), and Dominic Freed (Mozart/Joplin), all students of John Kulik; and Jack Lynch (Clementi), student of Leslie Nemeth.
Flutists performing are students of Dan Parasky and include Ava Zannikos (Joncières), Elsa Bandli (Rocherolle/ Godard), and Nia Hanington (Ewazen). The accompanist for the flutists is member Matt Klumpp.
Admission is free to club members and voluntary donations are accepted from non-members at the door. All are invited to a reception following the recital.
