Nutcracker

Each year the Westmoreland Symphony features the Laurel Ballet Company in three performances of Tchaikovsky’s popular Nutcracker Ballet at the Palace Theatre. The Nutcracker is conducted by Efraín Amaya.

American composer and conductor Efraín Amaya was born in Venezuela, where he began his musical training. Continuing his studies in the United States, he earned degrees in composition and piano from the University of Indiana, Bloomington, and a master’s degree in conducting from Rice University.

Mr. Amaya is a member of the School of Music faculty at Carnegie Mellon University. He is the Music Director and Conductor of the Greensburg America Opera as well as the founder and Music Director of The Point Chamber Orchestra.

The dates are Saturday, December 13 at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 14 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets prices are $27-$22-$16 and $10. Group sales are available!
