Help Fight Hunger

Categories: WSO General

Help those in need in our community this Fall! The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will be collecting non-perishable items to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank. You are invited to drop off items at the symphony offices (951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg) and the night of the October 21 concert at the Palace Theatre.

The Westmoreland County Food Bank serves as many as 7,200 households or approximately 16,500 individuals each month through our 44 pantry sites and 22 other agencies, including soup kitchens, child care programs and 4 shelters. Approximately 4,000 are children, who are considered at risk and in need of nutritious food to develop properly.  Many are the working poor, seniors, disabled or unemployed.
